Objectives

Launching Index’s new spin-out fund exclusively dedicated to life sciences and publicise the first closing of the new fundraising:

  • Promote key messages relating to the rationale for the spin-out and the purpose of new fund and its investment objectives
  • Highlight the experience of the life sciences team, its pioneering ‘asset-centric’ investment approach and the quality of the investment  portfolio
  • Raise awareness of the team’s track record of successful fundraisings, exits and value creation using portfolio company case studies

Strategy

  • Acting as a strategic advisor to co-ordinate all of the elements of the upcoming announcements
  • Drafting announcement and key messages that appropriately reflect the strategy and rationale for the new independent fund
  • Liaising with the key stakeholders involved in the fund raising to co-ordinate timings, sign-off and potential quotes for the announcement
  • Drafting Q&A and ensuring key stakeholders who may be asked to comment in the press agree on the responses
  • Pre-briefing target journalists under embargo and setting up one-on-one briefings in advance of the news, with further media follow up on day of release

  • Extensive UK National media (Financial Times), wires (Bloomberg and Reuters), and global trade media coverage (front page article in BioCentury) including extensive international press coverage
