Leyla is an account executive at Scius Communications, where she supports clients with strategic communications, media relations, and content development.
She holds a Master’s degree in Science Communication from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Health and Social Medicine from King’s College London. Her experience includes working on the BBC series Just One Thing with Michael Mosley, a health-focused programme revealing surprisingly simple, scientifically proven tips to improve everyday life. In this role, she conducted expert interviews, managed technical checks, contributed to scriptwriting, performed audio editing, and assisted with content creation. She also served as a panel moderator at the 67th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) in March 2023, facilitating discussions on global health and social issues affecting women worldwide.
In addition to her media experience, Leyla has worked in client-focused roles across various science communication positions, where she developed digital content and coordinated interactive projects. Her strong writing, organisational, and interpersonal skills enable her to craft impactful narratives that align with client goals.
