Account Executive, hybrid role (London based)

The team, led by Katja Stout, has extensive experience in healthcare and life sciences, supports the executive leadership of high science companies to enable them to achieve their communications objectives. We provide a consultative approach that delivers results and adds value to our client programmes. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated account executive to join our team. This is a hybrid role allows you to work remotely and from our London office.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to deliver excellent communication strategies for clients.
- Develop and maintain close client relationships, ensuring regular interaction.
- Develop and maintain close media relationships to identify both earned and paid media opportunities.
- Use digital and social media campaigns to support client objectives.
- Copywrite/copyedit client materials e.g. press releases, web copy, articles, marketing emailers etc.
- Proactively suggest creative ideas that enhance client PR/marketing programmes e.g. spotting media opportunities, commissioning research, speaker opportunities, award submissions.
- Support new business meetings and marketing initiatives

Requirements
- At least one year experience in a PR or marketing communications role, or as a journalist
- Understanding of the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry or demonstrated interest in the field
- Some media relations skills
- First degree in a life sciences subject or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Excellent writing, communications and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience using WordPress to manage client and Scius’ website
- Adept at Canva and competence in managing social media platforms
- Experience in leveraging digital tools for communication strategies
- Knowledge of Roxhill and Globenewswire a plus but not a necessity
- An individual who can work flexibly within a team, is self-driven but will seek help when appropriate
